“I love my role at First National Hills Direct. Being a Property Management Leader, I get enormous satisfaction from helping our team and customers achieve positive results – that’s what drives me.

Since 2006 I’ve been a receptionist, a property manager, an organiser of events and the ‘Chief Welcome Officer’ for new staff.

Starting a new job can be quite daunting for anyone. But arriving at our office I make sure our new team member is made to feel welcome with an inviting work space and admin support already in place. I know it makes a big difference for them and I like that.

We take that same ‘start right, finish right’ approach with our customers, many of whom have been with us for decades.
Staff training is an important part of our team’s fabric. We strive to be better and I drive that culture by leading in-house training as well as attending external events.

When I’m not in the office I spend my weekends with family, watching my husband play baseball or taking in a pilates session.

My dog, a samoyed, also gets a lot of attention inbetween the fourteen neices and nephews who may pop in for lunch or a bbq.

People say I’m very conscientious and dedicated to self improvement. I’ll go with that, it is who I am. I’m regularly undertaking courses on customer satisfaction or being inspired at leading women event; the upside allows me to deliver better experiences to those I engage with”

THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE | NEVER-ENDING SELF IMPROVEMENT

Put Michelle Jacobs in front of a customer or in the presence of a team member, you know that her solitary focus is on them. Being present in mind gives them a sense of ease and importance; it’s something not felt often elsewhere.
Passionate about self improvement and the thirst to serve others better, you’ll often find Michelle attending courses even in her spare time.

She prefers to operate in the real world, with real people giving them the best, real Michelle as possible.
You won’t see her scrolling for hours on Facebook or messaging friends while in the company of others; she’s deleted all her social media accounts. Real time, real Michelle.

Ask customers or colleagues what they think of Michelle and you’ll hear “Her eyes never leave you. You get the sense that you are the centre of her world. It’s very uplifting. It’s easy to see why she is such a success for all the genuine reasons. She puts others first.”
